The natural beauty of the area, made up of beaches, mountains and flourishing forests, is incomparable. The incredible survival of old traditions and regional costumes can be explained, in part, by the roughness of the territory, with its deep gorges and steep slopes, which has insured that communication with other towns has always been limited. Guests can gain a sense of this harmony between the modern and the prehistoric by visiting the annual carnivals and the Speleo-Archaeological Museum.
